St. Stephen’s CARE Center is a client-choice food pantry for those who need us most. Clients can shop for food just like a grocery store, but they checkout for free, providing dignity to all.
Our food pantry provides immediate food assistance including canned goods, dry goods, dairy products, meat, bread and pastries, and even fresh, organic produce from our own St. Phocas Garden. Diapers are also available for clients.
We are currently operating as a drive-thru program to maintain safety during COVID-19. We are also distributing box fans via drive-thru for Project Cool, a program that provides free box fans to seniors in an effort to provide heat relief and prevent heat-related illness during the hot summer months.
Food donations are accepted at St. Stephen’s CARE Center at 2127 S. Zarzamora St, San Antonio, TX 78207, Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5pm.
For food assistance, please schedule an appointment with a case manager at (210) 226-6178.
